How does Mobile Plus differ from Mobile and Plus?
Mobile Plus combines the core strengths of both Mobile and Plus. Compared to Mobile, Mobile Plus adds position sensor auto-detection, eliminating manual barcode scanning for inventory confirmation. Compared to Plus, Mobile Plus adds lockable casters for flexible repositioning across different lines. If your production requires both sensor-based automatic confirmation and mobile deployment flexibility, Mobile Plus is the ideal choice.
Is 240 reels enough for a line-side buffer?
Mobile Plus is designed as a line-side buffer, not centralized storage. The 240-reel capacity covers 1-2 shifts of material turnover for a single line. For high-mix low-volume flexible lines, 240 reels of line-side buffer combined with SMF platform smart scheduling can efficiently support production. If you need larger centralized storage, choose the fixed PTL or Plus (1,400 reels), or the fully automated SMD BOX.
Do the sensors work while the rack is moving?
The sensors operate when the rack is stationary. The typical workflow is: move the rack to the target line station, lock the casters, and the sensors immediately enter full operational mode, auto-detecting reel placement and removal. Moving between line stations is a redeployment operation and does not affect sensor accuracy. Once locked at a new position, the sensors resume normal operation instantly.
What production layouts is Mobile Plus best suited for?
Mobile Plus is ideal for: flexible manufacturing floors with frequently changing line layouts, high-mix low-volume mixed-model production environments, factories where multiple lines need to share materials, and scenarios requiring racks to be flexibly dispatched between different lines. The caster design enables rapid repositioning to wherever it is needed most, while the sensors ensure inventory tracking stays precise at all times.
Can Mobile Plus integrate with ERP/MES systems?
Fully supported. NEO LIGHT Mobile Plus runs on the SMF smart material control platform, which provides RESTful API and SQL direct connection for standard integration. It has been validated with SAP, Oracle, and other leading ERP/MES systems. All NEO LIGHT models (PTL, Plus, Mobile, Mobile Plus) share the same SMF platform, so system integration capabilities are identical across the entire product line.
