What is the key difference between Plus and PTL?
PTL uses Pick-to-Light guidance where operators manually scan barcodes to confirm inventory changes. Plus adds position sensors on top of PTL light guidance, automatically detecting reel placement and removal without any manual scanning. Both models share the same 1,400-reel capacity, software platform, and ERP/MES integration capabilities. Plus additionally meets the IPC-1782 component traceability standard, making it ideal for high-compliance environments.
How do the position sensors work?
NEO LIGHT Plus has position sensors installed at every slot. When a reel is placed or removed, the sensor automatically detects the change and instantly updates the system inventory — no operator scanning required. The system automatically logs each transaction with timestamp, operator ID, reel UID, and other traceability data to meet IPC-1782 requirements.
Can we upgrade from PTL to Plus?
Yes. Position sensor modules can be retrofitted to existing PTL shelving without replacing the entire rack structure. Plus also supports an optional touchscreen interface for operators to view inventory status, work order information, and transaction logs directly.
