ESSEGI AUTOMATION SRL is based in Sovizzo (Vicenza), Italy. According to the company, its predecessor Essegi System Service has been active in the Vicenza area since 1994, development of intelligent storage systems (ISM) began in 2009 with a first prototype warehouse, and the commercial cooperation with JUKI that started in 2013 took the products to global markets. Essegi Automation was set up as a separate company in May 2019; in July 2019 JUKI Corporation agreed to take a 49 % equity stake (see JUKI’s equity participation in Essegi Automation).
