How to Use the Scorecard
Set the weights before you read any quotes — that is what keeps the evaluation honest. A high-mix EMS plant might push weight onto throughput and integration; a medical or aerospace builder onto traceability and audit export; a space-constrained plant onto density. Score each vendor 1–5 per criterion from their written RFP responses only, and make every score below 3 require a written justification. The weighted total then ranks vendors on your requirements instead of the loudest datasheet.

Is the RFP template vendor-neutral?
The requirement sections are written so any storage vendor can answer them — capacity, MSD control, throughput, integration, service. They are the same criteria a buyer should put to Neotel, and we answer RFPs built on this template with a configured quote within 1–2 business days.
What format is the template and can I edit it?
It is a standard Excel workbook (.xlsx) with two sheets: the requirements checklist and the weighted vendor scorecard. Everything is editable — add line items, change weights, add vendor columns. It also opens in Google Sheets and LibreOffice.
How detailed should my requirements be?
Fill in what you know, mark the rest as questions for vendors. The two sections worth real effort before sending are the reel census (capacity sizing flows from it) and integration (ERP/MES scope is the most common source of quote-versus-reality gaps).
