What is the difference between PTL and Plus?
PTL uses light-guided picking where operators manually scan barcodes to confirm each transaction. Plus adds position sensors on top of the PTL light guidance, automatically detecting reel placement and removal without any manual scanning. Both models offer 1,400-reel capacity with identical software and ERP/MES integration capabilities. If you need higher efficiency through automatic confirmation or IPC-1782 traceability compliance, consider upgrading to NEO LIGHT Plus.
What production line scale is PTL suitable for?
A single NEO LIGHT PTL with 1,400-reel capacity can support the daily material turnover of 1-3 SMT production lines. For larger-scale operations or higher picking frequencies, multiple PTL units can be networked and managed through the unified SMF platform. For lines requiring full automation, consider SMD BOX. Can it integrate with our ERP/MES system?
Absolutely. The SMF smart material control platform powering NEO LIGHT PTL offers RESTful API, SQL direct connection, and other standard integration methods. It has been validated with SAP, Oracle, and other mainstream ERP/MES systems. SMF provides complete API documentation and a test sandbox environment, with full technical support throughout the integration process.
Is the PTL fixed or mobile?
NEO LIGHT PTL is a fixed-installation design, best suited for production environments with a dedicated storage area. If you need to move racks between different lines, choose NEO LIGHT Mobile (light guidance + caster base) or NEO LIGHT Mobile Plus (sensor detection + caster base), both adding mobile deployment capability on top of the picking technology.
What infrastructure is required to deploy PTL?
NEO LIGHT PTL only requires standard AC 220V power, a level floor, and WiFi or LAN network connectivity. No compressed air, special foundations, or additional infrastructure modifications are needed. It complies with ANSI/ESD S20.20:2014 electrostatic discharge standards and can be deployed directly in SMT production floor environments.
