Innovative Xray Counter, X-ray Component Counter

Neo Counter X400

Neo Counter X400

Neo Counter, Xay counter, changes the way of manual SMT component counting with the latest X-Ray imaging, automation, and AI technology. Users can get SMD, connector, and many other component quantity information in seconds.

How Neo Counter work?

Neo Counter X400 is an offline Xray counter. Users can load up 4 reels into the system. The inside camera system can detect their existence and position and even recognize material information in 1D/2D format. Once material information is recognized, Neo Counter will automatically do the component counting job. Component quantity and picture in the specific reel will be stored into a database and even upload to the user’s IT system whatever MES/ERP, etc.

Components to count

Neo Counter can work with quite a range of components in different packaging. Neo Counter can work with the smallest component like 01005, and large ones PLCC, SOT, QFP, SOT, connector, odd form etc. even those components in the special package like the tube, MBB (Moisture Barrier Bag) can also be counted.

NeoX:AI powered

NeoX, Neotel Xray Counting software, is using Artificial Intelligence algorithm that makes the counting process faster than ever. Within seconds user gets the quantity result and is automatically linked to a specific reel/component. Our algorithm not only works on the conventional SMD component but also work for loose component (not in reel style) and even odd forms.

What is Xray

In many languages, X-radiation is referred to as Röntgen radiation, after the German scientist Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen, who discovered it on November 8, 1895. He named it X-radiation to signify an unknown type of radiation.Spellings of X-ray(s) in English include the variants x-ray(s)xray(s), and X ray(s).An X-ray is a penetrating form of high-energy electromagnetic radiation. Most X-rays have a wavelength ranging from 10 picometers to 10 nanometers, corresponding to frequencies in the range 30 petahertz to 30 exahertz (30×1015 Hz to 30×1018 Hz) and energies in the range 145 eV to 124 keV. X-ray wavelengths are shorter than those of UV rays and typically longer than those of gamma rays.

How does Xray counter work

Xray counter scan uses X-rays, digital detector and computers to produce images of a cross-section of your component. It takes pictures that show very thin “slices” of your bones, muscles, organs and blood vessels so that healthcare providers can see your body in great detai

Safety

X-ray photons carry enough energy to ionize atoms and disrupt molecular bonds. This makes it a type of ionizing radiation, and therefore harmful to living tissue. A very high radiation dose over a short period of time causes radiation sickness, while lower doses can give an increased risk of radiation-induced cancer.

Material Recognition

Label with component counting info. can be printed right after the operator unload any reel from Xray counter. The intelligent camera system ensures the label print is linked to the right component.

Label print

Users can also build their own label template, size, field information that could be added and modified at any time. Multi data code in the format of 1D/2D is also supported by NeoX

SMF integration

Neo Counter is powered by SMF software. SMF: Smart Material Flow is the software suite from Neotel Technology for controlling and automating electronics materials handling. It can cover all your materials needs: Materials registration, Automated material storage/retrieval system, AGV control, Component counting, Kitting, etc.

Traceability

Inventory tracking is the process of keeping track of the materials, products, and supplies that are stored in a warehouse or other storage facility. This is important for a variety of reasons, including:

  1. Ensuring that sufficient quantities of materials are available to meet demand
  2. Identifying and managing shortages or excesses of inventory
  3. Optimizing storage space and inventory turnover
  4. Facilitating the planning and scheduling of production and distribution
  5. Maintaining accurate records for financial and regulatory purposes

Dynamic Reporting

The wealth of analysis data accessible from NeoX can yield information that can raise expectations of very significant quality and performance improvements, as well as provide the necessary protection against the costs in your production line as a result of adverse issues. Make smarter decisions with dynamic reports that you can save and share with anyone. Keep key information at your fingertips with custom dashboards.

Connectivity

NeoX software help Xray counter seamless integration to your existing IT structure, whatever in the types of ERP/SCM/MES/WMS. Through our advanced Connectivity module, users could get real-time component usage, material code info. quantity to specific reel. Right component, right place, right time is becoming possible!

Xray Component Counter Benefits

X-ray component counting is a technique used to accurately count the number of electronic components in a sample, such as a batch of surface mount technology (SMT) components. There are several benefits to using x-ray component counting:

  1. Accuracy: X-ray component counting can provide highly accurate counts of components, even when they are densely packed or stacked on top of each other.

  2. Efficiency: X-ray component counting can be much faster than manual counting methods, especially for large batches of components.

  3. Non-destructive: X-ray component counting does not damage the components, allowing for reuse or further testing.

  4. Automation: X-ray component counting can be automated, further increasing the speed and accuracy of the counting process.

  5. Quality control: X-ray component counting can be used as part of a quality control process to ensure that the correct number of components are being used in electronic assemblies.
